Grill'd Burger Chain
Grill'd is a chain I've seen around Melbourne and Sydney, and they always seem to have a healthy number of customers every time. The most interesting thing is their choice of buns. You've got your regular sesame seed, a non-lettuce low carb, a panini (this is the one we chose), and even a gluten free bun.
Here's the shared fries plate. There's kumara, rosemary and salt potato, and the last one is fried zucchini. By far the fried zucchini was the most interesting (it was both crunchy and wet with every bite), but each of those chips managed to shine in their own way. I was very happy with the amount of rosemary and seasoning they used for their regular chips, really elevates it above the chips you get elsewhere.
As a group though, we were all collectively confused with the burgers at first. Every single burger patty was just so soft and juicy. The running joke was that "we see the grill marks, but we don't believe in them". There's not a lot of crunchy/crispy exterior for the patty, if any, and after a few small bites, everyone's plate was covered with runoff meat juices.
They were still really good burgers though! My partner had the Simply Grill'd, which is their most basic burger (really disappointed they charge +$2 for cheese), I got their Mary's Little Lamb (goats cheese, avocado, pomegranate, fresh mint, cos lettuce, and lamb patty) with panini. The panini bun is different, but overall still blends nicely with every bite.
Is it mindblowing? No, but Grill'd will serve you well if you're just looking for a bite and a very comfortable and cosy burger.
